How The Ratstreet Gang started

Hello! My name is Tessa. Me and my partner, Roy, are the owners and carers of The Ratstreet Gang. We were born and raised in The Netherlands. And moved to Glasgow, Scotland in 2014.

I have years of experience with caring for pet rats. I owned and cared for rats since I was little. And Roy is learning more every day.

In 2023 we adopted four handsome rat boys named Thorium, Khorium, Radium and Mercury. Who at that time were called The Ratstreet Boys.

The following year we also adopted two beautiful rat girls named, Eve and Lilith. And the The Ratstreet Gang was born!

Some months later additional members to the gang were born. The rat girls Hazel, Maple and Willow. And the boys Caddy and Nicky.

Also the boys Rusty, Ozzy and Magni joined the gang at the end of 2024. And our girl Possum joining at the start of 2025.

Recently we also adopted three more rat sisters named Bounty, Hazelnut and Midnight.

The future - Rattery

Over the past months a few litters were born. Although (some) unexpected, they got all the love, attention and care they deserved. It was a joy having the unexpected additions to the gang.

All of the little ones were settled into loving homes, with multiple compliments about their looks, personality and health.

The decision has been taken by us to start our own rattery in the distant future.

It will take time and preparation before this can dream can become a reality. From housing, care to socializing.

We are only human after all.
